Welcome to Phillips Beth Israel School of Nursing located in the Chelsea section of Manhattan. We are delighted that you are considering or have already chosen our School to pursue your Associate’s Degree in Nursing.

Our School is part of Beth Israel Medical Center, which means that our students have the opportunity for outstanding, hands-on clinical experiences at a renowned teaching hospital.

We are proud to report that 99% of the graduating class of 2011 passed the National Council Licensure Exam-RN (NCLEX-RN) on their first try. We had the highest pass rate of all associate degree programs in the New York City area—and also were higher than the national average for both associate and baccalaureate programs.

Our School is small, with approximately 300 men and women from the Greater New York Metropolitan Area.  Students range in age from 18 to over 50, and reflect the multiplicity of race, religion, ethnic origin, cultural and economic backgrounds that one finds in large cities.

Dr. Janet Mackin, Dean of Phillips BEth Israel School of Nursing

Class of 2007

The School’s liberal arts co-requisite courses are offered jointly with Pace University. As part of this partnership, Pace professors teach the liberal arts co-requisite courses on site. The School has articulation agreements with New York University, Excelsior College, and Drexel University, which allow for a seamless transition to the Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.

The School’s small size, strong student organization network, and supportive faculty and administration creates an academically stimulating environment where you will receive the individualized attention needed to help you reach your career goal of becoming a registered professional nurse.
