THE CURRICULUM

The School offers a two-year Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree in nursing, which fully integrates theoretical learning with exceptional clinical experiences.  The curriculum prepares graduates to practice nursing within the realities of today's health care system.  Major health problems are taught using a humanistic framework based on meeting patients' needs in the hospital, in the home, and in a variety of community-based settings.

In addition, the School may offer elective and/or enrichment courses on a semester-by-semester basis.  Students will be notified of the availability of such courses prior to registration deadlines.

It is the student’s responsibility to complete all courses necessary for the Associate Degree (68 credits).

  • 15 hours of Theory = 1 credit
  • 45 hours of Lab/Clinical = 1 credit

The curriculum is designed to allow students to achieve an Associate in Applied Science degree in two or three years through the following Scheduling Options.
